Lyrically and as an MC and Rhymer Nas is second best ever of all time with Jay Z as number one

When somone says so and so is better than a Nas, Jay Z, Canibus, Big Pun, Kool G Rap, Andre 3000, Crooked I they are never talking about in terms of bars, technicality, rhyming and the skill of MCing

They are refering to things like thinking so and so has better songs, discography, production, replay value, more entertaining, more engaging music, more relatable etc

nas needed to education past 8th grade.. i understand what yalk think hes saying.. but just like many of u.. he dont know ? dont mean BLACK or AFRICAN.. its was a word that describe ignorant.

africa slaves were ignorant of english and america way of life. so when we was held captive in America... we was called ? .

we wasnt called ? in africa... yes we from superior backgrounds.. but when they start calling us ? is because of our ignorance or heritage...

It never meant ignorant. In fact, it was only ever described as that in one dictionary which has since been banned in the late 70s for their proclivity to include highly questionable definitions with an overly racial charge. It was the same movement that bought the Confederate flag back. This was all a ploy to dehumanize black people to stop integration since blacks referred to themselves then as ? . The book i speak of was the first version of the American Heritage dictionary which was created in the 60s. The book was placed in many classrooms, and we all know that they gave blacks outdated and erroneous material. So much for a classroom education.

you know why that dictionary was banned? cause it was the truth. they want u to believe lies about your history, like we was inslaved cause we was ugly and called ? cause we was black.

they wanna hide facts about white slavery, and want u to believe there is no such thing as a white ? (ignorant dumb person) rednecks are ? too..

So you cosigning racist agendas to dehumanize the black man? It wasn't the truth and blacks knew it. It was said in ignorance and it was used ignorantly by red necks. Blacks knew better and used it accurately, and they wanted to put an end to that. But believe what you want. Black is a European word btw. The fact that you're bringing up white slavery is insulting to your people's struggle. Those white folks were truly dept owing criminals as they considered them then. Are you saying that's what "blacks" were? Is that what our newborns were? Sounds like the classroom didn't do you many favors. You should listen to more Nas.
