No more community
we broke away from immunity
to become pure within different paths
wrath of life's issues
so on and what not
I missed the band
the connection of poets and poetess
that expand different ways of verbal and written material
expressions that were rugged and influence by soulful depictions
yet this place has become a sesspool of broken memories
remember when he and she wrote words of harmony
or remedy to street life blues
who knew that the MIC would be busted
the bodyslam would leave us all bruised
misguided by drinking a fifth to the noggin
inspiring to write lyrical suicidal tendencies
that's expressed within this facility
really this is depressing
this is the place for self expressing
stress release and battles between right and write
recite and ignite the keystroke method
I take it all in and let it hang out
what I'm talking about for the simple statement
is we need to rebuild and reunite
like the good ole days in which the words were strong points to society
poetry was prime form and forums were making a killing
I blame it on social media, times a changing, old age, and common fork road issues
or maybe I'm just living in the past
trying to do the tedious task to get pass the original class of 2003
so we can maybe bring fourth unity to create something magical
but yet this is all words that define invitational
open these doors for old greats and new princes to write something spiritual
all for the love of the WTE

I'm still writing. Getting back on my grind. -
Sighs....Can't post a poem so I'll do it in here.
It's been a minute and some change
maybe a dime or two
since I wrote something new
wondering and pondering while wandering
through the thick and thin of this place
and something told me to just pick up and pretend
this is 2003 again
the scenery is so thick
poets all over the place
modern day Harlem Renaissance
reminiscing on the footsteps of creativity
developing humility in the process
so I can progress with a little poem to let folks know
that it's same ole same ole

just turned 30 and realizing it's not a game
so I turn it up a few decimals
on my college kid ?
playing games, making beats which are aight, and enjoying the married life
sometimes its on some Tyler Perry skit but she's all I got

let me stop and chill, anywho what's good with the WTE crew
good to see you still doing you
Tupacfan looking lovely and VSOP still taking it to the head
with the lyrical substance that's lead example by the pioneers
so far it's been tears seeing what this place has become
like a switchup of character but same different toilet flush
the game done change and the forums are really proving such..
og's moved on to bigger and better things
youngins trying to make freedom ring
like 5th season of The Wire only Omar will let his mind blow freely
seriously this place needs a enema

a brand new cinema
the dilemma of this place being on the decline
got my mind adjust and ready to flood the block
like an old school ritual
but I'm not a fool to tell you that I'm semi-retired
learning to developed writing for a new cast of readers
business mind like Nino but Stringer leaps and bounds
by any means necessary I'm trying to become bigger than a king
but too humble to wear the crown
bottom line I'm doing fine
just feeling a little bit down
I miss my dogs from past to present
the original lineup to the ones that were within my presence
M.I.C shout out to you and those that I have forgotten
forgive my memory old age is an enemy
sincerely this is sort of a spammed facebook letter to the crew

Man you ain't even lying, I miss the old Illcommunity that we had here in WTE. Like you said, OG's moved onto bigger and better things. Life took over somewhere along the line......
