This particular piece was recently written... I lost a dear friend who just couldn't handle life and wasn't ready to take on the battles so I wrote a song for him using Master P's instrumental I miss my homies http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Oid4lu7umo

Take Time
Don’t mind if I get a little teary eyed on this one
We all lost somebody close to us that we love dearly
Not to discuss but I did lost to many close near me
I know that times are hard, felt that no one on your side
I wish he talked about it, instead he took his life
And now we all hurt, teary eyed and asking why
His mama cried and all I can try and say it’s alright
But deep inside I’m hurtin, so what’s I suppose to do
Cuz I wish he would of thought of what he’s gon put us thru
He wanted his death, but more importantly rejoice his life
We laugh at pictures and forget about the stress and strife
We tell our stories for him, like ya’ll remember when
The memory the reason thought like gawd it’s never gonna end
But that’s a good thing, cuz even though he gon from us
He in our hearts and anytime he never far from us
So take the time and remember those we have lost
No longer with us but never ever have we forgot

Anytime, anywhere, cause our thoughts are always with you
Dark times, dark skies, while the rain drops
It hides the tears and I pray to make the pain stop

If times were like they were, then I wouldn’t have to sing this track
But I can’t change what happen, only did what life has gifted me
I asked my grandma and hope she’s proud the life I’m living
Hope she can forgive me for the wrongs I have committed
Its been some years and damn homie I still miss her
I make this song for all of ya’ll who ever lost somebody
Your mother, brother, sister, lover, best friend, uncle or cousin
It don’t matter how they lost their life
The point is, that they memory will live and rejoice em’
Don’t be afraid to talk to em’ promise that they hear you
You didn’t get to say goodbye, say it now they right near you
So take a minute think about it and remember them
I know it can be hard but promise it will let you breathe again

wow-this piece hit
last month marked the 9 year anniversary of me losin my best friend, my dog, my lil brother plus i jus lost my grandfather a few months back
i try not to look at it and get mad-jus look at it like i have more guardian angels watchin over me
and to be honest..i talk to them more then i talk to ?
if somethin crazy happens in my life--i look up to my boy and jus do the "do you believe that ? homie?"
great piece-your family is gone but is also finally at peace

I'm sorry to hear about ur grandfathers lost and ur brother as well!
I'm glad you could relate to this particular piece.
Yea, I lost one of my good frens, he took his life, crazy part was we had talked that day, a long ass conversation, he ended up going home and blasted himself.. I was just sooo touched by this.. I couldn't believe it.. Just Hurt and devasted!

wow.....a inspiration for a inspiration....with my piece coming up rejoycing the memories of my grandmother...this piece gave me the insight of what i need to do for it...i'm sorry for your lost and i can see the embrace of the support through this poem...had me zoning out for a second with the master p instrumental to go along with it...which fits well with whats being said...bottom line spiritual stuff and good work as always...keep dropping those lines of pure heaven and memory called poetry my fellow poetress
