Inside this magazine, Tyler spoke on Lil Wayne and revealed that he hated Wayne at first because his music was everywhere. However, he did say that he now appreciates Weezy and his music so much, as well as realized he is one of the best rappers after hearing his “Upgrade U“, “Cannon“, and “? Pleaser” remixes.
Tyler, The Creator also wrote that Tunechi is a big influence on his own music and explained how his song “Special” off his Cherry Bomb album is a great example. ive noticed how artists and fans alike are all coming around and giving wayne his props. His top 5 goat status might come to fruition real soon. he only need one more solid project. he's getting all the cosigns from goats and fans that still hate him are starting to at least recognize his contributions. it's crazy because this pretty much routinely happens to rappers who would later get mentioned in the ranks of the best to ever do it. 10 years ago, I would have never expected it from Wayne though
