A woman has been jailed for three and a half years for stabbing a convicted ? to death.
Sarah Sands wept as Judge Nicholas Cooke QC handed down the sentence at the Old Bailey.
The 32-year-old was cleared of murdering neighbour Michael Pleasted but she was found guilty of manslaughter by reason of loss of control.
The court heard that Pleasted had 24 previous convictions for sexual offences between 1970 and 1991 and had served between nine months and six years in jail.
At the time of the killing, the 77-year-old had been released on bail ahead of going on trial to defend himself against accusations of sexually abusing three boys.
On 28 November last year, Sands had armed herself with a knife and gone to Pleasted's flat in Canning Town, east London, to confront him about the case.
The single mother of five had then carried out a "determined and sustained attack", leaving the victim to crawl from his living room before collapsing in his hallway and bleeding to death.
Sands handed herself into police a few hours later, telling them that Pleasted had been "asking for trouble".
She told the Old Bailey she had gone to the pensioner to plead with him to admit his crimes and spare the young boys from having to give evidence in court but that, when he answered the door, he had "smirked" and told her the boys were liars and had ruined his life.
She said she had been "frightened" by the experience, adding: "It was not how it was meant to go."
The judge described the case as unique, because Sands had not taken the law into her own hands but rather lost control and he said: "This was a case in which the defendant promptly gave herself up to the police in a highly stressed state, never disputed responsibility for the killing as a matter of fact, did not take the opportunity to get rid of evidence and demonstrated remorse."
Sands has been in custody for the past 10 months while awaiting the conclusion of the case, so she could be released on parole in as little as 11 months' time.

Three and a half years for stabbing a ? to death. Makes sense. SMH. Anyway, the only part I'm confused about is how the ? she is connected to the case he was out on bail for? Doesn't seem like they were her kids, so this broad just decided to batman the situation and take the ? into her own hands?

So the 23rd time was the judge like "maybe this time he finally learned his lesson"?

She don't deserve prison time for this, she deserves to be inducted into the Hall of Fame.
