Soul singer Anthony Hamilton's newest album, The Point of It All, has gone gold!

Yesterday, R&B crooner Anthony Hamilton reached gold status with The Point of It All, which has sold more than 500,000 units.

According to Billboard magazine, Anthony is also one of four artists in the history of the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart ever to have had two singles spend at least 50 weeks on the tally.

These accomplishments aren't anything out of the ordinary for Anthony, whose 2003 album Comin' From Where I'm From went platinum. Alongside that victory were many other musical achievements such as his 2009 Grammy Award with soul sensation Al Green and the BET J "Cool Like That" Award in 2006.

But there's not much time to bask in his latest success. SoSo Def Recordings has announced that Anthony is now in the studio working on his fourth album.

Props to Anthony being able to get a gold plaque in today's market without a major hit pop single. This is still the last R&B album I really enjoyed... Haven't enjoyed any R&B album since this dropped in late 2008.
