Here's the thing about having nuclear weapon's. If you shoot one at someone more than likely they're going to shoot them back at you as well. Nuclear weapons are the ultimate stalemate with countries

    When has this happened?

I made a thread about this as well. If you think about the destructive power some of these advanced nuclear weapons have, what is a realistic response from a country attacked with nuclear bombs?

Will they even be able to retaliate because of the fallout? You ever played civilization revolution? Once those nukes hit, you're DONE.

    Maybe I'm being naive tho.

A blast radius of conventional Nuke is 50mi. For sake of the argument if Russia shot a missle here in America. America could still send nukes there way and back and fourth to major cities. Government's are not trying to take that much loss to its people.

What people tend to forget is that there are systems in place to deal with ICBMs. N Korea having a couple missiles isn't really a big deal. There is a pretty low chance that a single missile would ever touch down on American set. The real threat is a barrage of them being sent because then there is a possibility that a one or more could slip through.

Not even that...the nuke's aren't the problem for us because like you said they'll never have a nuke that can reach American soil..the problem is them ? with South Korea...they would be able to completely level Seoul in like 45 minutes without ever using a nuke just using by using artillery. The nukes are just a trophy for them

Well the nuke's are a problem, just not in the way people are thinking. They aren't about to send one of them over here on a missile, but if they have all the material to build a functioning nuclear bomb, there is always the chance they could sell it off to a terrorist group. We don't want to see what would happen if ISIS or some similar group got their hands on that kind of weapon.
