Anyone who follows Jeremih knows his recently released album Late Nights has been a long time coming. It’s been 17 months since “Don’t Tell ‘Em” dropped and
“Planes” has been around for 10, yet the momentum from the hit singles wasn’t enough for Def Jam to green light the album release until earlier this month, after it was initially slated to drop in July. And even that seemed to come out of nowhere.
Jeremih isn’t feeling how the whole album roll out went down and recently took to Twitter to express his feelings on the situation.
Venting his frustrations, the “Birthday Sex” singer wrote,”[Def Jam] y’all don’t even deserve my voice.” He later noted that his main beef with the label -,on top of the LP being priced at $18.99 – is there are reportedly very low amounts of physical copies in stores.
“There’s actually no CDs in the stores to even buy that’s my main point,” he added saying each Best Buy store received less than 10 copies of the project.
Jeremih isn’t the only one to express anger with the imprint over the album’s handling. 50 Cent recently tried to call the label out as well noting on his
Instagram account, “What Def Jam has done to Jeremih is so foul. They have dropped the ball in so many ways. They have his Album out at $18.99 I have never seen a album priced that high in 5 years.”

They did him foul, but the ? fans should always still support their artist no matter what. Its ? up. I feel like the same ? been happening to Omarion.

If they're going to release a product, Def Jam needs to release it the right way. But I don't blame them for holding the product back. The album was pushed back for about a year and a half and it's still awful. They probably felt like the quality wasn't up to par for release. There aren't anymore hits on this ? and it won't have positive acclaim. If Jeremih wanted his ? released, he probably shoulda put something together that was better than this.
