There is a theory that Garou was the one who was supposed to fight Boros as a part of the prophecy.

Are you caught up with the webcomic? It's different than the manga, and further in the story, and already past the Garou soryline.

Boros is that alien that kicked Saitama to the moon.

The webcomic originally started as something the author just did as a hobby, and when he was bored. (one reason the art is just scribbles)

When it turned into a manga, they started adding additional stuff, and moving some things around, to give more to the story.
