    The Prestige
    The Prestige is top 8 movie for me, was the first time i felt thoroughly mindfucked by a movie

    The illusionist was up to par but being released so close to The Prestige (with a somewhat similar concept), it cane off as a knockoff

    Ive only seen it once and my reaction was 'this aint The Prestige' when it was over...but yea i did enjoy the movie though

    The iLLusionist came out first and is the first one I saw. I can't front though, The Prestige is dope. At first I thought it was better but over the years The iLLusionist won me over. I think it's more genuine and i like the cleverness of Eisenheim.

    In all fairness Ive only seen The Illusionist once but the ending seemed kinda forced to me, its possible i missed something due to my Nolan bias...ima watch it again cuz i never watch a movie just one time

    Except Requiem For A Dream, that ? was too trill

    Dope thread,two of my fav movies. Illusionist edges it for me.That scene where Eisenheim ethers the prince with his sword..GOAT.The chemistry between characters was strong and also how he stayed on step ahead of the powers that wanted to shut him down.
