All In The Past

We started from nothing and rose together
Known each other since we were kids traveled that road together
But look at us now we can barely stand to be in the same room
Both blaming each other so if it ain't me and it ain't you
Then who's the problem where did we make a left turn at
And is it ever really too late to turn back
Where was the bond severed when was the trust broken
We were so close we had a language that was unspoken
All in the past now I gotta move on
But how do when you feel like a big part of you is gone
This more than childhood memories they shaped your life
You said it best "We grew up but grew apart" if I'm not mistaken right
There's no way we could go back to how things used to be
I'm not being negative I'm just speaking truthfully
Even though I miss the companionship I miss the close ties
A want to recapture that is something you won't find
Just leave it where it was and enjoy the memories
And know that I am grateful for everything that you've given me
But that's all in the past now I gotta move on
How do you do that when a big part of you is gone
