DEAD AT 66
60 Comedian Garry Shandling died at an L.A. area hospital on Thursday ... TMZ has learned.
The 66-year-old star was not suffering from any illness ... as far as we know ... so, it appears this was sudden. A source connected to Shandling says he was healthy and speaking to people on Thursday morning.
Our source says there was a 911 call from "The Larry Sanders Show" star's home, and he was transported to the hospital. We're told Shandling was alive when he arrived at the hospital.
Last weekend, Shandling was hanging with friends Kathy Griffin and Bob Odenkirk ... who also co-starred with Garry on 'Larry Sanders.'
Story developing ...
I'm showing my age I used to watch the hell out the Larry Sanders Show. Damn man too much death lately RIP

Larry Sanders was my show and some of my earliest cable tv memories where his stand up specials on showtime back in the 80s.

Also on a side note I wish HBO GO would add their old shows like The Larry Sanders Show or Arliss. Nobody gives a ? about True Blood and Sex and the City

I never saw much of dude TV shows but I've always heard his name come up about how his show was. One of his friends went on the Colin Cowherd show and told a story about one of his favorite jokes from Gary, about dealing with a real estate agent and buying a house...
After taking him through a tour of the property...
Real estate agent: "It costs a million dollars, but the view from this window is incredible."
Gary: "For a million dollars, it better come with some ? pressed up against the glass."

Yeah. I was an only child for 9 years. My mom could afford it. Then after my sister was born in 92 we got an illegal box up until the late 90s. Then when I started working in 2000 I started paying for it myself. -
