Be Honest - Did You Know This Existed?

This is inspired by the other thread. I'm not trying to beat a dead horse but in the other thread it was pointed out that people in the other 49 states weren't rocking mix tapes. In fact, somebody remarked that nobody knew, listened or cared about the mixtape scene in New York. One poster even said, and I quote, "If a tree falls in the woods does it make a sound?"

Also, its been pointed out that the median age demographic is about 10 years younger than me so while I was around 22 years old when this tape came out in the summer of 95, the average IC poster was about 12 and probably not aware of this tape.

I can remember this tape vividly. I didn't own it but I remember seeing it in Boston at places that sold mix tapes. I thought it was remarkable that an artist would have his own mixtape, but admittedly I didn't buy it. But I knew it existed.

Cause you come off as preachy. These young niggas don't want to hear that.

But I appreciate what you do on this board. To me you keep hip hop alive.

Keep doing what you doing. I'm cool with it.
