He is the reason why light skin were played out for some time. I dont think LL was eating when he was in his prime. LL had to wait til BDK mind was focused on Madonna to drop Mama Said Knock You Out

He embraced the ladies man persona yet still kept his credibility as an MC intact. Even though he was judged heavenly by the early '90s with his albums more towards women & R&B hooks, these days it's looked at as a standard for commercial rappers. Kane always seemed a few years ahead of everyone else.

Kane had a really, really, really good run in 1988. He had a couple of singles and videos as well has a couple of b-sides and loosies. He released an album every year for four consecutive years.
He was also a punchline king like Big L. -
