look up this documentary 'rubble kings' if youre into the warriors and/or origins of hip hop

its a doc about latino/black gangs in the bronx circa 1970s and how a peace treaty between gangs of new york ushered in the beginning of hip hop its narrated by john leguizamo

the warriors movie was based on these gangs

a meeting like at the beginning of the warriors really happened lol seeing some of the footage i was like so this really happened

Rubble Kings was good. It was wrong what they did to Black Benji.

The Wanderers was pretty dope, but it was no Warriors. That ? is a legit classic.

Movies are dramatically different outside of featuring gangs. Both classics.

Great drop OP. ? are sleep on 'The Wanderers'. Damn good movie.

Two other movies that would probably fit in this thread's theme with 'The Wanderers' are 'The Outsiders' and "Lord Of Flatbush'. Every white male actor that you can think of became a star from these movies...........

That said, none of them stack up to the classic 'The Warriors'. I remember reading somewhere that gang membership increased tremendously after 'The Warriors' came to movie theaters. It is a classic film that will stand the test of time and it's one of my favorites that gets replayed every single year at my crib. A few of my favorite parts...........

A while ago they were talking about a Warriors remake which was basically going to have something like that as the reason for the initial meeting. I don't know what happened to it though.

Tony Scott who was developing it killed himself.

Yeah, it was going to be set in LA this time around and would of had Bloods, Crips, and the Mexican gangs in it.
