Saw this on another site and it caused a huge debate of people reading past what the meme actually said.

As a general rule, respectability politics can go ? itself.
-
I dont sag my pants under my ass and i dont dress like them preppy frat boys above either
And idgaf enough to be offended
-
As if a trigger happy cop or a judge with a predisposed position of discrimination gives a ? about your suspenders.
-
I hate ? that do that ? .
-
I'm not offended
-
If your response to a black man in a suit is "So what ? you can still get shot", I think you're missing the point that there is a time and place for everything.
That's like saying to someone sagging their pants "? you ain't a gangsta". He could just be some regular guy with a job who sags, not making a social statement on how your choice of clothing validates your character. -
It's not offensive to me.

It's not a response to a black man in a suit it's a response to the meme and respectability politics.
How can you not get that frat boy? -
Don't care either way or about anyone's personal style. Do you nh.
But when you saying hey not all of us sag our pants it comes off as coonish, like "hey I'm not like that other type of black. Accept me" -

Frat homie think because they made his ass wear suits and sell doughnuts after the spanking and "out of bounds sexual behavior" he up on some game
I'ma sag my ? in church and on the block ? you talmbout -
Bet u it was a woman or a white person who made this corny ass meme
-
Nah, different styles for different folks. People usually dress a certain way depending on where they're going. If you're going to work or some kind of business meeting, you look one way. If you're going to watch the game at a bar or in person, you dress another way.

is sagging still cool ?

More offended that the meme exists than the meme itself. Do people really need to be told that not all black people dress the same way?
Didn't kno' people still sagged their pants -
It's a fact
It shouldn't offend you. -
Alot of people believe that you're supposed to dress for your profession or what u aspire to be. I don't see how this is taken offensively.
Because we live in a global market, and dressing for business is something that's universal, it looks like the young men are positioning themselves accordingly.
I've always found it interesting that alot of the baggy, sagging pants trends that were adopted in the late 80s early 90s were perpetuated by studio gangsters and have been adopted as black culture by the masses.
So if negative rap is what's been promoted in lieu of positive rap in a culture where "they control everything" what does that say about those that carry on the baggy trend? Real question with no diss intended -
It depends on who the creator of the meme was and who they were trying to speak to
-
It didn't at first. But, as a hipster agnostic Africana feminist who identifies as pastafarian and does pansexual naked cross-fit yoga twice a week, this does sort of offend me.

Some people see that and feel judged. That's a personal issue.
