Can we finally discuss the ills that plague Democracy? The Idea of a completely unfiltered, and unrestricted form of democracy is downright dangerous to society at large. I think now more then every because of this election and because both candidates were two different sides of the same ? sandwich people are going to realize that no, you and your child aren't a special snowflake who can be president just because you are a citizen. For Christmas ? sake this is the highest political office in this country. There should be rules and mandates for this ? !

Until amendments are made to the three qualifications needed to run for president, these things will happen every so often...

Voting rights should be limited , allowing everyone to vote is a horrible idea which is why originally the franchise was limited. but once you start limiting voting rights you are going to create people who feel oppressed because they have little say-so in the Affairs of the state that governs them. that's why as time went on the franchise was expanded to more and more sectors of the society.

I would agree with limiting voting rights but also wouldn't perfume it for the very reason you stated. Which is why ultimately I would strictly limit and regulate the requirements to hold any political office.

One plague is that numbers determine the law AND NOT morals or right or wrong. IF the majority decide to do immoral ? then it is law. Thus it benefits the majority and those with money and NOT EVER the MINORITY. It by definition is designed to work against the MINORITY

You need more responsible people holding public office to counteract harmful laws being put in place. Just another reason why there should be a prerequisite to running oright holding public offices.
