That's fine but it's not even attacking the main problem which is China and India who not only, not have to adhere to the accord, but are actually producing the majority of the worlds pollution.

The reality is these global companies want to subsidize manufacturing in poorer nations with slave labor under the guise of ending climate change (which is unsubstantiated but that's another issue), so they can line their pockets. And the worst part of it is these poorer nations aren't even going to truly reap the benefits.

    A few facts:

-China and India produces 75% of the worlds pollution yet they don't have to do anything for the next 13 years. In fact China has came out and said they're going to double their amount of coal plants.
-By funneling 3 trillion dollars of US taxpayers money into poorer nations to invest in green energy this is expected to reduce temperatures by 2/10's of 1 degree by 2100. 2/10's of 1 degree? That ain't ? .
-The polar icecaps have actually growing for the past 4 years.
-If you study data you'll see that temperatures have been rising and falling for over 650,000 years. In fact we're about due for another ice age.

And with this Dude just outright disappears...this election, misinformation and just outright stupidity reigned. Obviously there are a number of people who arent misinformed and grotesquely and nonsensically stupid too though. Like here you cant just spew whatever and have everyone just go for it. Hence your question where did this come from? Even that is a dividing line. Those who have the sense to even think so far and ask these questions. Who will triumph going forward?

How the ice caps growing but polar bears environments shrinking. This world makes no sense.

Sure the planet heats up every so often, but does it ? the Coral reefs everytime it does that?

Nah, if I'm not mistaken, the brother is cool. Besides, it's only been like two hours. With that said, I generally agree with you.

All this is interesting to me, but I'm not too knowledgeable about it, so I'll have to do some research. In the meanwhile, I'm looking forward to hearing any respective discussion. Just wish you ? would chill with all the unnecessary e-beef and get to the arguments at hand.

From what I've heard and read, there's legitimate arguments to be made on both sides. I think we can all agree that climate change is real, and that nature and nurture plays a role. The big question is to what extent does nurture play a role. And what the hell are we going to do with China and India. Are those not essential questions, regardless of Trump?

Beyond that, I would venture to suspect that behind all of these issues is politics, money, and greed. We can't be so naive as to think that this is all about saving the world.

China and India ridiculous amounts of pollution is well documented. In China they estimate over 1.6 million deaths a year are caused by air pollution; In India 1.3 million. Yet know one is putting China and India's feet to the fire. They get to max out till 2030.

    https://nasa.gov/content/goddard/antarctic-sea-ice-reaches-new-record-maximum
Sea ice surrounding Antarctica reached a new record high extent this year, covering more of the southern oceans than it has since scientists began a long-term satellite record to map sea ice extent in the late 1970s. The upward trend in the Antarctic, however, is only about a third of the magnitude of the rapid loss of sea ice in the Arctic Ocean.

The new Antarctic sea ice record reflects the diversity and complexity of Earth’s environments, said NASA researchers. Claire Parkinson, a senior scientist at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center, has referred to changes in sea ice coverage as a microcosm of global climate change. Just as the temperatures in some regions of the planet are colder than average, even in our warming world, Antarctic sea ice has been increasing and bucking the overall trend of ice loss.

    More later.

If pollution equals CO2 emissions then that's a big ass lie.

Let's say China remains constant at 30%, it would be illogical to assume that India accounts for 45% of the world's pollution in 2017 despite only accounting for 7% in 2014.

Naw C02 levels and pollution are two different things.
Thirteen of the top 20 most polluted cities in the world, according a World Health Organization (WHO) report from 2013, are in India. This has led to fears for the health of children living in Asia’s third largest economy.

    indian-polluted-cities2.png

China is cleaning it's act up but they're still up there and like I said in 2012 they had over a million people die from air pollution just in that year. That's a tragedy, that's like the whole city of Dallas just peacing out over the course of a year. But these cats don't have to be accountable for any of that but we have to come out of our pockets? Despite us having lover waste and C02 emissions than them?

You're sending people off. You cite an article from 2014 when in March 2017 Nasa released this:

"Arctic sea ice appears to have reached on March 7 a record low wintertime maximum extent, according to scientists at NASA and the NASA-supported National Snow and Ice Data Center (NSIDC) in Boulder, Colorado. And on the opposite side of the planet, on March 3 sea ice around Antarctica hit its lowest extent ever recorded by satellites at the end of summer in the Southern Hemisphere, a surprising turn of events after decades of moderate sea ice expansion."

"On Feb. 13, the combined Arctic and Antarctic sea ice numbers were at their lowest point since satellites began to continuously measure sea ice in 1979. Total polar sea ice covered 6.26 million square miles (16.21 million square kilometers), which is 790,000 square miles (2 million square kilometers) less than the average global minimum extent for 1981-2010 – the equivalent of having lost a chunk of sea ice larger than Mexico."

    https://www.nasa.gov/feature/goddard/2017/sea-ice-extent-sinks-to-record-lows-at-both-poles

Moreover, the data is not conflicting, but you're cherry picking and hoping people won't read for themselves or you haven't done the research yourself. Stop that fam!

The accord did nothing, its all political grandstanding. Basically every other country wanted the US to pay around $3 trillion out to them, and we said nope. None of them want to do real changes because then they would have to stifle their industry growth and GDP.

Good. The more cities and states that cooperate with the world on climate change, the better.

SMH at Trump allowing more companies to dump toxic waste in water and soil, I feel bad for those with children near chemical plants.
