Goodfellas...... Godfather 2 is great but Goodfellas is the best Mob movie if we are taking about Italian mafia films, otherwise i would say American me is another great film but i guess that comes under gang rather than mob.

Godfather part II it was two movies in 1. Basically it was how Young Vito came up. And how Michael was trying to maintain the family. Plus the transformation of Michael into a ruthless Boss from Vito who was reasonable. Michael wacked his own brother plus made his sister a widow in part 1.

To be honest godfather 2 is great but i cant just sit down an watch it as many times as goodfellas.

Favorite mob movie is Goodfellas, but I would say Godfather II is the better overall movie acting wise.

i gotta say, its a disgrace to some of these movies that the departed would even be mentioned amongst them. good movie, great movie by todays standards, but overall I just thought it was decent.
