nah, free is just a nice extra. my reason for psn is that i love its exclusives and ps1 classics. ive played on xbl and the amt of dropped games, lost signals, etc is about the same. my boy couldnt log on to play a game of MvC3 on XBL for ? .

I'd rather pay 150 dollars a year to play xbl or psn than be relegated to wii online.

    lol wii, ? seriously?

depends on what type of hard drive u get. Some of them will only be powered on when the ps3 is on and its connected via usb. Others will stop spinning when you turn the ps3 off but still be on.

i actually agree with focus nh. for a free service, what can we really expect? ? is bound to go down sometimes. this doesnt even seem like it was hardware faults like the clock thing was. someone just hacked into PSN and ? it up. Big companies can get hacked all the time. It could happen to PSN, XBL, the Warcraft forums, Steam, Amazon etc.

IMO, the thing with the clock last year was WAY worse than this. that pretty much temporarily made ur PS3 useless

and I think XBL was down for like a week during Christmas 2007 for some reason, and that wasnt even due to a hacking. they gave some credit/reimbursement whatever and then it was back to business.

LOL. Sorry, but this kind of ? would never, ever happen on any Microsoft operating system and especially not for as long as its been going on.

LOL @ Sony/PSN being hacked. What is this? Facebook? LOL.

Its one thing to be down for routine maintenance.

Its something TOTALLY DIFFERENT to be "hacked". LOL @ Sony not paying for their Norton subscription renewal. LOL. Is their firewall set to "off"? LMAO!

Something about COD4 overloading the system or something. About 4 to 5 days
