The older I get, the more i become disillusioned with the mystique of Biggie & Pac. Half of yall were too young to see Big when he was alive & are just sprouting this ? because you're too much of a ? to face the scrutiny of saying anything deviant from the norm.
Truth is....it's disrespectful to artists who've put in a ? load of work that they'll never be as respected as someone who only did 2 albums, was around for 3 years & received most of his hype from dying. -
Big was average lyrically...He was carried by his charisma, beautifully technical flow & voice. If you put Biggie in a room with his peers from the 90s.....Jay-Z, Nas, AZ, Big Pun......Big would've been the weakest. The other 4 could rhyme 4 or 5 words in a bar, Multi Syllables throughout their verse & Big would be rhyming "Richie like Lionel".
And as for the thread topic, I never heard Big rap as lyrical as Ross did on "Mafia Music II". Never. -
