Are you interested in entering a tag team tournament? These would probably be the rules:

Tag Team Tournament Rules
Team of 2 battlers posting 20 lines. At least 8 lines has to be written by each battler. So 8 & 12, 9 & 11 or 10 & 10 by each. To clarify, each team has to have 20 lines but that does not necessarily mean each teammate has to write 10 lines. One can write 8 but the other has to write 12. And each has to write a minimum of 8 lines. Verses do not have to be color-coded but if they aren't, then you will be judge as a whole. No one will know who came up with what line. Not that it's a bad thing.

All 4 battlers don't have to check in for each team. Only 1 battler from each team has to check in.

Any person can post their teams verse. For example, Battler A post his teams 20 lines in round 1 but Battler B can post his teams 20 lines in round 2. I recommend each teammate to have possession of their teams lines BC if Battler A says he will post their verse and color code it so people could distinguish between the lines but there is 5 minutes left before the verse deadline, then Battler B can come in and post the verse to avoid disqualification. Just to be safe both teammates should have their verses to decrease their chances of no showing.

You will have to find a teammate by posting a thread in Got Beef and ask for requests. Or by sending PM's to people. Once you have a team, you can check-in in the sign up thread for the tag team tournament by saying who your teammate is then it's official when your teammate checks in by acknowledging you too. The sign-up thread will be made if voting in this poll and posting in this thread goes well.

You don't have to worry about signing up with someone and when it comes to dropping your verse, you realize their 8 to 12 lines sucks and now you're going to lose BC your 8 to 12 lines was a little too late and now your record has another loss in the battle record book BC those records are only for solo battles. The reason is BC you only have so much control in tag team battles and it's not fair to you. A suggestion would be to have each other Messenger names so you can trade lines and talk about each other's verse and the idea of personals over Yahoo Messenger, AIM, etc. until both of you are happy with your verse as a whole.

VOTING
I'm not sure if I should try to find 5 more official voters or set a post limit where anyone who has over 100 posts can vote. What are your thoughts?

For a tag team battle tournament (for writing 20 lines as a whole in a team battle)
For a tag team topical tournament (for writing 20 lines as a whole off a topic)
For any tag team tournament (for any of the two)
Against the idea

You can only vote once in the poll and voting is not public.

If the majority want to do a tag team topical tournament, we will create an extra thread where everyone submits topics and I will find a way to make it random where everyone has a chance to get the same topic but not their own.

    A Topical tourney would be interesting to see. Battle raps can be generic and even the best battle raps over the internet have to be somewhat general because you can only know so much about your opponent (can't see, hear them, etc). A topical tournament shows a bit more creativity in my opinion. It's a bit of a better way to distinguish between the great artists and the average joes.

    This Tag team tournament sounds interesting, first time experincing it, also I never been in any tropical tournament, sounds cool to me, any tournament, or tag team tournaments sound cool to me...I'm looking forward to these matches.

    I agree with the battle raps comment. That's why I don't like battling someone twice. There are only so many personals you can write about someone you don't know. On second spit, you've ran out of good personals BC you would've used them all in the first battle. Worst personal I've heard against me was rhyming Raw-Material with cereal or thatboyjay with ? . That ? is too played that it's almost impossible to go hard. I don't remember who did the cereal line but they didn't even do the expected and say some half decent ? with wordplay and multis like ima eat him for breakfast - raw material innards/ face down in his bowl like I'm a cereal killa/. Nothing like that. Just me and cereal. So even though I voted IDC, I'm hoping the majority goes with Topical but I think it'll be harder to judge BC I could see there being some off the wall abstract stories.
