you like dogg food better than ? ? sounds strange to me.
Depends on the day though......just like sometimes Jay is #1 and sometimes Nas is #1.
Today Kurupt and Daz got #2 and Snoopy got #3 LOL
And on that note I think I'm gonna go to sleep to "I Dont like to Dream Bout Gettin Paid" in a min...... -
Gotta ride with Dre on this one. Perhaps the best hip hop album, period. And its inpact was huge..
-
My favorite's not on the poll but I'll mention it. Compton's Most Wanted - Music To Driveby.

Thank u, Kang! How could y'all leave Above The Law off the list?! They are one of the most underrated groups in HIP HOP period. Uncle Sam's Curse and Legends are CLASSIC! -
Lotta great music coming from the west back then
-
Suga Free's Street Gospel is a slept on west coast classic
-

Man, 1990 when this dropped. It seems like some cats only heard a few West Coast albums when a lot of great ? was being dropped. -

-
a lot of good music but cube is in my top 5 so i have to go with death certificate
-
Ice Cubes my favorite rapper but I voted for The Chronic that's the best rap album of all time in my opinion.
-
? because each song sounded completely different and the beats had its own dfferent personalily. Definately a standard setter
-
eazy duz it gotta be up there
-
this came out in 99
& my ? Domino
-
that someone would be me!
and the answer is THE CHRONIC!!
It was the winter 1992 release that would define what the whole decade would sound like!!
The Chronic (1992) by Dre defined hip hop for that decade
Never Mind By Nirvana (1991) defined what Rock would sound like that decade!!
Those albums are mad influential and people will still be listening to them 50 or 100 years in the future when 99% of there contemporaries will be buried by history!Since someone did a thread about best 90's new york album ever so i did this spinoff thread. I know yall gonna say why aint this album on the poll. The west coast put out so much classic ? in the 90's i can only put 10 on a poll i cant fit them. you can mention it though. heres the list............
The Chronic
?
All Eyes On Me
? 4 Life
Death Certificate
Bow Down
Get In Where You Fit In
Spice 1
Quik Is The Name
Me Against The World
