Well it takes thousands and thousands of years for skin pigment to adapt to an environment, but then how does that explain me being darker skinned than a lot of arabs and mexicans I see even though my parents came from the very north eastern part of Poland.
Simple. The original stock of what you called Arabs are dark. They still reside in the Middle east. Places like Oman, Yemen, Even outskirts of Saudi are full of Black people. They were pushed down by Asian and European Invaders. This is where you get your look from. What is commonly accepted as Arab today is nothing more than a mixture or Blacks, Whites, and to some degree Asians. Look at this picture again.
