Founded in the UK in the London Underground in 1988. They crossed the Atlantic and Blew Black Radio up in 1989!

Mixing Hip Hop breakbeats, Jazz, Smooth Melodies, Classical Orchastration, Some Top Flight Soul Singing (By Carolyn Wheeler) and arranged, Produced by Jazzy B the face of the group!

Teddy Riley's New Jack Swing style was properly credited for its influence but i dont think SOUL II SOUL ever was properly credited. THe first time I remember KEEP ON MOVIN in 1989. I can remember where i was and what i was doing. I was absolutely floored it was soooooo good.. and they followed up with BACK TO LIFE! and the Super Jazz/soul of FAIR PLAY!! there followups! werent as nearly good as there debut but man what a phucking debut it was!!

The Brits are always really good at taking American sounds, revising them and selling it back to us!!

HOLLA!

KEEP ON MOVIN

BACK TO LIFE

FAIR PLAY
