    I guess being on the list must be an honor in itself but I see way too many fresh faces ahead of people who have been doing it for decades.
    I'm concerned about the newbies they got ahead of Janet and Whitney

    I saw it. The first one I raised an eye brow at was Kim being above Toni but I can let that go. Kelly Clarkson and Katy Perry are too high on the list.

    Well, I think its good list. Diverse, well thought out...everyone I like made it and I think the positions make sense when looking at the grand scheme of things. Of course everyone wont agree. But when making a list where you actually have to back up your opinion, instead of just having one...this is how things play out. LOL. Even when its not your personal favorite, the artist may still deserve a spot in terms of impact to millions of others or presence in music in general outside of you.

    Also, actually watching the countdown helps the understanding.

    Aaliyah should be ranked a lot higher but if we just looking at peoples career's over the last 20 years you have to move a whole lot of newbies to end the line imo

    but aaliyah should have ranked way higher than she did and that is not just "my personal favorite" it's just a fact... on that list fantasia ranked higher... like really????????

    those of you who are getting mad at this list, you're just wasting your time and energy, you already know it's going to be ? . that's why i never bothered to watch this. it's only a list too, it doesn't define everyone's personal opinion. sure as hell doesn't define mine that's for damn sure. but it's only a list composed by vh1 so...

    I do agree that Adele and Lady Gaga are too high, although they should be in the top 20. But other than that...I really don't see any just horribly out of place, unjustifiable positions?

    How Mandy Moore on the list higher than Ashanti....Ashanti sold records and had hits....Mandy Moore only decent hit was "Candy" and never went gold or platinum album.
