In 2010, Spitta and Dash were working on an agreement to release music on Dash's label, BluRoc, according to TMZ. However, the deal was never solidified, and Curren$y signed with Warner Bros in early 2011. Allegedly Dash continued to release music of the New Orleans rhymesayer, despite Warner's exclusive rights to Curren$y's material, leading to his lawsuit claiming $1.5 million in damages for the unauthorized release. Dash has claimed Curren$y backed out of their agreement in 2010 and signed with Warner instead.
