Fez Update is Live, Could Corrupt Your Save File

Not quite five-by-five.


Fez developer Polytron is warning users against accepting the superb puzzle game's latest update. "There is an issue that seems fairly widespread where the save file can be seen as corrupted by the game after installing the patch," programmer Renaud Bédard wrote on Polytron's site. "For the moment," he continued, "deleting your system cache should resolve the issue, but if that fails, there is no known workaround."

The title update fixes dozens of in-game issues, but may not be worth the risk of destroying your precious save file.

Some users have reported that clearing the system cache, as Bédard suggests, rescued their corrupted file. If you're a victim, try that, and share your experience with the update in the comments below.
