Im not sayin every black person on tv has to be super smart ? , but why
are we often the butt of the joke, can't we just be a regular person? Plenty
of shows are successful telling the stories of average joes. life and times
of such and such. Seems like the only time black folks matter is if they are the fool
or the part of tragedy.

I don't think it's so much a black thing as much as it is dumb people are funny in sitcoms. Plenty of uber-dumb white people in shows. Kelly Bundy had to be the dumbest person ever in a sitcom. Didn't start that way but ended up dumb just like Junior.
