Xbox720 APU supplier: "PS4 has the most powerful APU we've ever made"

"Everything that Sony has shared in that single chip is AMD [intellectual property], but we have not built an APU quite like that for anyone else in the market. It is by far the most powerful APU we have built to date, it leverages [intellectual property] that you will find in our A-series APUs later this year, our new generation of APUs but none that will quite be to that level of sheer number of cores, sheer number of teraflops."

The funny thing is, this is the same company that is making the APU for the next Xbox.

So they're coming right out and saying PS4's APU is more powerful than the next Xbox.


We also know PS4 will have far superior memory (GDDR5 vs DDR3). So PS4 looks to be all around more powerful than the next Xbox.

PS3 WAS alot more powerful than the xbox360 so this isnt a surprise.

True. It would be better if they focused more on the games. Most people won't notice the minor graphical differences between PS4 and the new Xbox.

The difference wasn't as big, and it was negated in Multiplatform games due to the fact that PS3 was harder to developer for.

This time around, PS4 has far superior RAM and APU...... and will be just as easy to develop for now. Multiplatform games will all look better on PS4, and PS4 exclusives will look even better.

You are aware that Ps3 surpassed xbox360 in console sales even though it was released a year later....right?

People ? me up when they say PlayStation failed cause Sony failed, do people realize that Sony sells a whole lot of products other than PlayStation, that typhoon a couple years ago is what really ? Sony up.
