J. Cole continues to say that he’s a big fan of Chance The Rapper (good taste, Cole) and Joey Bada$$, and concludes by offering his thoughts on the new school of rappers:
“I think me, Kendrick, and Drake need to stop acting like no one can do better than Jay, Ye, or Nas. We’ve got to step up to that plate as the new legends.”

thats a respectable quote.

I can dig that, ultimately it shows drive to want to become legends in they own right.
-
They got a whole lot of stepping up to do. Drake is the only new school ? that's on path to being a legend due to his legit talent and game changing impact. Kendrick Lesbian and J Cole are 2 garbage rappers that uses drake formula to survive. (emotional songs about women, syrupy hooks, singing) GKMC is a take care rip off. Sideline ? story is a rip off of thank me later. J cole and Kendrick will never have a project that can touch Nas or Jay Z weakest album.

Yeah, step up to the plate and end up striking the ? out....neither one of these cornballs will surpass anything Nas, Jay or even that fragile ? , Kanye, accomplished throughout their career. lol@ "new legends"....
-
Lol @ "Kendrick Lesbian"..
-
GKMC is a Take Care rip off...?
*Weebay gif* -
Cole gone Dole!
-
What the hell is a syrupy hook?
-
N what hook has Kdot dropped that could be compared to these so called 'syrupy' hooks that Drake does?
-
Poetic Justice...

While I don't agree with what your saying, it is ironic that both Kendrick and Cole have used Drake for features, that ended up being singles, most likely premeditated too... -
Tomp, stick to Jay rants dude.
-
your a great rapper man keep postin..
-
GKMC a Take Care rip off
Hahhahahahahahahahaa -
J Cole is right though.
-
lol @ new legends!
So he's saying he's been spitting wack lyrics like talking about "leftover lasagna" all because he didn't wanna go hard for fear of being compared to Jay, Ye or Nas?
No Cole you've been dropping nyquil rhymes because that's where your lyrical ability is at.
Only your talent is holding you back, if you can make it to "legend status" then you will -
I don't see Cole reaching legend status.
-
Yeah, on topic with what Cole said, I C/S dude. In anything you do in life, if you don't believe you can do better than the so called or current best, then you'll never reach your own full potential.
He gotta hope Born Sinner doesn't flop saying this tho. N I'm not talking about doing major numbers. He needs to drop a solid album from start to finish, no mediocre ? . Everybody that hears it needs to agree that it's got potential to be a classic...otherwise this talk is cheap! -
J.Cole is a Legend!
-
Cosign what he said and these new ? is too friendly with each other too, COMPETITION IS GOOD.
