This thread is about the different ideas you may have for our internet community The IC.
Post some of your ideas that you think will be productive for this site, to take things to another level. Now before you say "If Im not getting paid, Im not doing it", just think of it as a way to give back to your e-community.
My idea is radio.
I don't know if Grouchy Greg or whoever is/has already done/doing this but I think the owner(s) should look into investing into satellite or internet radio. I was listening to Sirius at work and was thinking how dope it would be if Allhiphop had its own station. Or at the very least its own slot on someone else's station.
The Reason is full of debates on music and Im sure the posters can help with the music selection from old school-new-local-mainstream and whatever else the people want to hear. There is a lot of complaining in Reason about todays music (I don't blame you), but this could be our chance to broadcast that music the people want to hear and not what a corporation pays them to play.
Just a thought.
Post some of your ideas (they don't even have to be music related) and let's set some standards out here.

My idea is that people have access to delete ? off their own profiles similar to FB or any other social site on the web.
Why is it a good idea that people are able to just say wtf they want to say on YOUR profile?
You want to talk ? we have an entire board for that.

You can delete stuff off your profile, just not selective comments.

You can delete your own comments off your page, but you can't delete the comments of others.
I think that should be changed.

That's actually a good idea Kathryn.
I also think posters should have similar power over things posted in threads that they create as well.
It would actually make it easier on the mods because that would be one less thing they'd have to worry about.
Meaning, if a poster doesn't like something in their thread or profile....instead of pm'ing a mod...they could take care of it themselves.

allhiphop needs it own youtube channel for new music and somehow integrate the forums and actual website more. right now its two completely separate worlds.

limit the number of threads a poster can make in one day... no one should be able to monopolize one room

disable posters from moving their own threads from forum to forum

1. the backpage should be mobile viewable
2. notifications should be mobile viewable
3. implementing a captcha for password would make the site more securer
4. a t/s should be able to mod his own thread only for a week. for instance making a troll post blacked out similar to how mods can with a flag.
5. smh and wtf should be take the place of wack and nosign
6. like someone stated a radio function would be cool
7. 300 post count to make a thread should be implicated on mobile as well not just full site.
8. thread counter should be implemented so posters won't bog a forum up with 5 or more threads in a day

A PAUSE reaction. It would be weighed as much as a Wack reaction.
SMH like others have mentioned and even WTF.
I think SPAM, ABUSE or TROLL about ten of those should close a thread automatically, when its done by non mods. or a better number that you can come up with.
Maybe even custom picture "reactions, photoshops" such as
would be cool. I'm sure we have talent that can create a handful of these. i seen them at the other forums not to be mentioned, but I'm sure you all can figure out. -

Agree with all accept number 5 in part they (SMH & WTF) should be added not a replacement for nosign and wack as they have there time and places in threads. Otherwise on this and Nas we are in complete agreement... -
There should be an Offical Poll Forum in the IC.
All of the Polls in one place would bring in way more people to participate.
