Remember after Eli got his 2nd ring people started saying this dumb ? ? I just thought of it again during this Denver vs Oakland game. Peyton's a damn beast...

I been second guessing this game Sunday
    0-3 team is desperate
We gotta take care of business
No reason the giants should be this bad

I usually heard people say that

    Peyton >>>>> Eli....regular season

    Eli >>>>> Peyton...playoffs

I still can't really disagree with that tbh.

It may sound funny, but I kinda disagree with that. I'll let other people speak on it some more before I explain why though.

Eli Manning rode his defensive lines back to two super bowls and only a stan would say otherwise.

Its laughable to say Peyton has had more success once in the playoffs than Eli

It's also laughable to think at this moment ANYONE would say Eli > Peyton

Eli's been to the postseason 5 times and won the Super Bowl 2 times.

Peyton has been 12 times and won the SB once.

They both been twice so that's washed..

Only 5 appearances is not a good thing

Missing the playoffs is just like taking a L your first game in the post season.

Going to the Super Bowl and winning it are completely different, so no, it's not a wash.

Eli never had a losing season as a starter though going 9-7 several times or 10-6 and missing the playoffs those years, is that a losing team?

    (P) Manning hasn't proven anything in the playoffs really...in 2006 when they won the Super Bowl he had 3 TDs and 7 INTs through the Playoffs.

I'll wait though, you said you are prepared.
That defense is why they beat Kansas, Baltimore, and NE. Grossman lost that SB for the Bears. He still wont have a Tom Brady 18-1 season.Of course he better than Eli and he would be Eli if he was the Giants QB.

That front 4 kept Brady in check
    Ryan, Rodgers.

    Eli barely put up points

    The defense win them rings

As we can see right now their defense is ? and look how he's playing..

I'll take both of Eli's SB runs over Peyton Manning's SB run, as I would hope every objective person would, numbers don't lie.

Shizlansky got part of it. Eli's only been to the playoffs 5 times. Looks like he won't be going this year, so he's on his way to 5 trips to the playoffs in 10 years. So you're putting Peyton's 1 and done as a con for Peyton, but not penalizing Eli for missing the playoffs.

Second thing. I want to go ahead and give Eli credit for winning 2 SBs. That's not easy and he did it...so props to him. But those ARE the only 2 years he's won a playoff game in what's coming up on 10 years. So I'm not too quick to call him this great post-season player.

I can see the argument for Eli being the better post-season QB, but I don't think the gap is that big. And it's not nearly as big as the regular season gap between them

Overall Peyt Manning is better due to consistency. All Peyt Manning has to do really at least to his dickriders is win one more superbowl to be considered the greatest QB of all time. Personally I think Peyt needs at least 3 like Brady but it is what it is. Elis playoff Performance minus those two superbowl years gotta be lacking somewhat to if he even makes the playoffs.

If we took a poll right now 98% of NFL fans would pick Peyt over Eli.

Bringing up the fact he's only been to 5 playoffs just proves he sucks in the regular season and winning 2 out of 5 trips says a lot more than 1 out of 12 last time I checked.

Y'all are doing a better job arguing for my point than I am.

Thats still over half his playoff appearances being one and done. with that said, I'm still not looking at him as some post season monster. So like I said, i seee the argument for Eli I just don't think its a huge gap

Separating playoffs from regular season is laughable

I'm not separating ? , to give one QB the advantage

Peyton is far better than him and any other QB of this generation

I'm not saying that it is a tremendous gap but I think it's obvious Eli has done more in the postseason.

Also, Eli has been 1 and done 3 times in 5 appearances (60 percent). Peyton has been 1 and done 8 times in 12 appearances (75 percent).

    Thanks again broham

I agree with you that eli has had a better playoff resume. I'm just saying its not as big of a gap as some say.

Very very true. Sanchez has 2 AFC championship appearances, 9 TD 2 Int, 4 wins 2 losses, wins against peyton and brady, and a rating of 94.3 in the playoffs, and nobody is jumping up to separate regular season, from post season for him.
