Circa 2007, talking about Leinart:I don’t want to sit here and bad mouth his lifestyle, but it is hard because we are different people. He likes that Hollywood stuff and I don’t like that and raising a kid together, you have to work together as parents, but we’re so different.
It’s hard, but I have to raise Cole to be a strong, secure kid so he knows right and wrong, what’s good and bad and what really matters in life, which isn’t what’s going on in Hollywood or who’s dating who. That’s not what it’s all about, and I think he’ll know that being raised by me.

That is true, I was talmbout that with my girl recently. In fact most of the greatest pro-black leaders and civil-rights leaders were light-skin.
Malcom, MLK (sort of), Huey P., Obama, Angela Davis, etc, etc.
I include Obama as "pro-black" because out of all the negroes in America, if there was one nikka that had a valid excuse to NOT embrace his blackness it was him.
He was raised by his white Momma and super-white grandparents from Kansas, grew up between Hawaii, the phillipines and Kansas around nothing but asians and whites, went to a Ivy League school, etc, etc...
And despite all of that he married the darkest sista he could find and took a job making 15k a year trying to help po nikkas on the southside of chicago when he literally had his choice of six-figure jobs coming out of Harvard. You can't tell me that was a coincidence. lol -
