“The Killing” has cheated death for a second time.
Netflix has ordered six episodes of what it is calling a fourth and final limited season to wrap up the Fox TV Studios series that began on AMC in 2011.
Veena Sud is back as showrunner of the moody drama that stars Mireille Enos and Joel Kinnaman as Seattle detectives enmeshed in murder cases. The U.S. adaptation is based on the Danish skein “Forbrydelsen.”
“Killing” was canceled by AMC in 2012 after two seasons, only to be revived when Netflix teamed with the cabler in a shared-window pact. After a low-rated third season, AMC opted to ax the show again earlier this year. But Fox TV Studios, Sud and her reps at Wme quietly assembled a pitch for a final half-dozen segs that was strong enough to interest Netflix, given the show’s existing following. i'm glad it's getting some closure,i binge watched the entire thing a few months ago and really enjoyed it,Enos and Kinnaman are great together and individually in their roles.
on a week to week basis i can see how people would have got annoyed with the Rosie Larson storyline,they dragged that ? out but i think the final payoff delivered.

I wonder if it will even be a new case or will the final 6 focus on Linden fightin for her freedom. or Holder covering up the murder.
either way I gotta give props to Veena Sud she musta made a hell of a pitch to Netflix. I hope she ends it with a bang! -

Good trailer.. if this show wasn't gritty enough, it seems to get darker too.. I think it will have a satisfying ending because in 6 episodes they ain't gonna waste any time.

I see Netflix just added today, I haven't watched it yet. I liked the last season the best, was pretty surprised by the ending. Seasons 1 and 2 did drag way too much, Rosie Larson murder could have been wrapped up in season 1 and then a whole new case season 2. I think that is what hurt them, but at least they will have a final season...but 6 episodes? Just doesn't seem like enough but I'm glad Netflix picked them up.

Just finished the 1st episode. Great start imo. Felt real bad for the kid, his situation is hella depressing and ? up.
Classic interactions between Holder n Linden.
Lol at them being able to curse now. Adds a bit more realism to it.
Someone needs to get Linden some got damn chap stick tho wtf lol -

One Ep in so far. Linden is crazy. Messed up thing is I know a hoe a who did the same thing Linden did with that pillow except with a hoodie i left at her place.

Just finished episode 2. This shoulda been on Netflix since the start of season 3. They are able to do n say much now they are not on basic cable.
Much darker n gritty feel.

Loved the first two seasons, the writers stay messing with the audience, I quit trying to figure out who the killer was. Season 3 liked up untill the finale, Im a def check these new episodes out though.

Watched the whole lot...was intense at moments....
I was hooked...and I guess it was a satisfying ending.
The amount of times this show was axed...it could still go another few seasons had the story line been a little different.
