The media seems to think Michael Sam is wayyyyyy better Than he really is and that it would be a surprising if he didn't get drafted by at least the 3rd round...like the only reason for that would be becuz he is ? ... Like he couldn't slide for any other reason... Troy Smith accolades:

And only actual sports analysts will bring this up. I've heard a few non sports people try to bring up Jason Collins not being on a team and quickly shut up when they get told "He was a mediocre player at the end of his career. He was 98% done anyway"...plenty players with accolades in college don't cut it in the NFL. The only way Sam being ? won't be used as a reason for him not making it, and nobody knows yet if he will or won't, is if he gets a shot and is truly getting embarrassed out there on the field. -
