Good films but most of those are "crime/action" films not "gangster" with exception of Donnie B, King of New York, and Millers Crossing.
Im yet to see Millers Crossing tho. Its on my Netflix list.

c'mon now.. movies about organized crime = gangster
IMO those are centered around a heist or robbery so its a different genre. I consider gangster film to be more about the being in a gangster subculture and what comes with it. Even Donnie Brasco is less of a gangster film and more or a crime film since its more about an undercover cop.
Just my opinion tho, I make my own rules.

But its a fact that older movies had a certain amount of....non-reality to it. Back then they didnt make movies as REAL as they later did.
Its a minute thing but to me that's the slight difference in Godfather, Godfather 2, and Scarface vs Goodfellas.
Older movies had a LITLE bit of cartoonishness to it. I expect people to jump at that b/c it sounds harsh but its true.
