DIABLO III CONTENT UPDATE COMES TO PS4

Enter the Cesspools, upgrade legendary gems, and keep chasing treasure goblins.

Update 2.1.0 is live today for Diablo III: Ultimate Evil Edition on PS4, bringing players new Greater Rifts, new areas and better gems.

It's unclear when the update will be live on Xbox One, but we've reached out to Blizzard for clarification. PS4 players, however, now have access to several new features. Chief among them are Greater Rifts, which play out like timed versions of the already-existing Nephalem Rifts in Adventure Mode. With Greater Rifts, players have a certain amount of time to beat them, and have two options if they succeed: move on to a more difficult Greater Rift, or exit now and receive an upgrade for Legendary Gems.

A new environment, the Cesspools, has also been added with the update. This is a randomized area, and was originally designed to be the Westmarch Sewers in Act V.

Last among the major additions is The Vault, which can be accessed through portals that randomly appear after Treasure Goblins are killed. The Vault has more loot and areas to explore, but also the update's boss: Baroness Greed.
