Monkey Barz is the solo debut by underground Rap artist Sean Price, formerly known as Ruck of Heltah Skeltah. The album was the first release from Duck Down Records 2005 "Triple Threat Campaign", followed by Buckshot & 9th Wonder's Chemistry, and Smif-N-Wessun's Smif 'N' Wessun: Reloaded. The album was possibly the most acclaimed of the three, and was named Independent Album of the Year by AllHipHop.com.
Music videos were shot for the songs "Peep My Words", "Onionhead", "Heartburn", "Boom Bye Yeah", "Monkey Barz" and "Slapboxing", which were included on Price's DVD Passion of the Price.

Classic album right here. Sean P is your favorite rappers favorite rapper.

I remember Duck Down was on a killing spree around this time. Buckshot and 9th dropped Chemistry and the Formula, P was runnin around killin ? , Skyzoo just came out. I didn't catch Monkey Barz when it first came out, Jesus Price made me check for Ruc's solo ? (that needs its own thread). Was listening to that joint the other day... some of the joints definitely sound like it was made in '05, but at the time it bullied everything else that was out.

Wrrd. The Duck Down Triple Threat was no joke in 2005. Smif-N-Wessun Reloaded is another classic.

Wrrd. Back in 98 I was certain Rockness was gonna take over the game. He ? up by leaving the camp to go join DJ Lethal's label. The label folded and Rock went back to the camp a few years later. Then he caught a murder charge which he beat. But if Rock didn't leave the camp, Sean P might have never went solo.
Rock even did a track with Fred Durst back in the day when he was signed to DJ Lethal's label.

Beating a murder charge.........BBC ain't nothing to ? with. Lil Rock his brothers from the Reps did some time too. They not today's rappers.
