Reasonable Doubt, hands down. That album contains A+ performances in every aspect a Hiphop album possibly could...lyrics,beats,flow & delivery,Mary J on a hook,BIG,plus the vibe of the whole album is unreal.

all i gotta say is "just call me baby jesus..." all pun fans know that line. just like "way in the middle of little italy..."

now, does jigga got a line like that for his real fans on that album?

let me think of some good lines from that album. (im hiphop yall)

    hmmmmmmmm

"even if jehovah witness, he'll never testify."

"the only m.c with a flu, yeah i rhyme sick..."

    nope. Pun wins.

Two of my favorite albums ever. I'd have to choose RD b/c CP runs a bit long and has a few tracks I could do without.

RD just is a cool listen all the way through imo.

This is a tough one. Both obvious classics.

Capital Punishment def. on the lyrical tip. Some of the joints on there are straight spitting like dream shatterer, glamour life and ? on most. Pun was a beast. Only person that could really challenge Canibus back then on a sick lyrical level.

But as a collective though, RD is an almost flawless album and edges this battle. The cohesion, Jay at his best, rawest, witty, lyrical self, coke raps, dope guest appearances. Jay digressed since but this album reminds me that Jay was dope and can still spit every now and then but nowhere near this level. I put Jay as far second behind Nas in the GOAT discussion. Yes before BIG and Pac and Pun, because of the longevity, lyrical factor, balance, the legact; Dude being doing this for awhile.

Back then he was on the enemy side, the mainstream with Puff and BIG, against my WuTang, Mobb and Nas coalition. But now, good music is good music. Nas ? on Jay but Jay still ? on most of his peers.

Jay Z was never and still is not ? with this track.

you could combine all his albums and they would not be as dope as this.
