Im surprised Mad Max is so heavily represented
What makes iit different from most movies like it? I was totally unenthused to watch it, seems cliche -
Great movie I think you should check it out .
-
See SOC got one. ? Star Wars got a few noms too damn no avengers lol
-
Mad max wasn't filled with dialogue. To get the nod. Thought Straight Outta Compton should have gotten that spot.
-
Yall think straight outta compton shoulda got a best picture nod? Alota buzz bout it not getting one but i dunno, it was a good movie but i dunno bout all that
-
Beast of No Nation should have gotten consideration it was the best film ive seen all year
As well as consideration for Idris and the Child actor this film was powerful... the cinematography was amazing...(even if you dont know what it is.... you know what it is)
Revenant
and Sicario
Oscars par for the course.. when 90% of films are filled with damn near 90% of white people you get what you always get..
didmt see SOC yet but imma go out on a limb and say it doesnt deserve a best picture nod -
Get Mad Max the ? up outa here
-
Surprised but not really at the omission of Straight Outta Compton or Creed with both doing well critically and commercially.
Beasts of no nation shoulda earned the boy or Idris something but i know it didnt come out big in cinemas.
1. Mad Max was still my top movie of the year- pure entertainment, homage to the classic but it stands on its own.
2. Beasts of no nation was powerful and emotive, good performances
3. Sicario - gritty thriller, well shot
4. Star Wars was a good update to the franchise
5. Hateful Eight
Havent seen revenant yet but it looks like my kinda movie. Both Hardy and DiCaprio are in my current top 10 actors. -
SMH @ Hateful Eight barely getting any noms
Not surprised @ Straight Outta Compton getting snubbed.
Dope to see The Weeknd get a nom tho -
Mad max should win every sound category...I would say visuals too but revenant should swipe those
Give Leo his Oscar... -
The Martian is so overrated
-
Jason Segel should have gotten a supporting actor nod in End of the Tour imo
Guess it wasnt mainstream enough
#FreaksForLife -
My 3 worst films i saw in 2015
1. Boy Next Door (starring JLo)
2. Hot Tub Time Machine 2
3. Tomorrowland
My 3 most slept on in 2015
1. Dope
2. End of the Tour
3. Little Boy -
-
How did Charlize and Benicio not get nominated? Who did they ? off?
-
-
-
I havent seen Creed but how was Sylvester Stallone better in his supoorting role than Benicio in Sacarios
-
As far as Creed goes Michael B Jordan didnt deserve a nod imo.
The director maybe. Some of the fight scenes were excellently shot. -
That's ? up neither emily blunt nor benicio got a nod
-
I havent seen Creed but how was Sylvester Stallone better in his supoorting role than Benicio in Sacarios
Watch Creed and you will understand. -
I think a lot of people were upset beast of no nation was released on Netflix and theaters at the same time and that's why it didn't get a nomination. Biggest snub to me was benicio and mad max was deserving of all the awards it was an amazing movie and was shot so beautifully

lol right, that's how I feel too. Straight Outta Compton was entertaining, but I honestly don't think it was a quality movie and Gary Gray is my favorite director. The second half of the movie was rushed and omitted too much ? for it to be considered a good movie. Plus, I thought ice cube's son acting was sooo ? corny. -
@Sion have you seen carol? What makes you think rooney mara is gonna take it?
-
Only loss I see Leo taking for best actor is from fassbender. I haven't seen the jobs movie, but hears he did a hell of a job. The others I don't really see as a threat except maybe Damon from the martian. This should be Leo's year.
