Trump won big in SC. Jeb is suspending his campaign. Don't want to see a Jeb Bush presidency but he was one of the more likable repub candidates and most sane too. I never would have guessed Trump would be leading so late in the game. I think only sensible candidate this year, who can actually win on their side is Rubio.

on that side the only one that is palatable to me is Kasich. Rubio's voice/debate style/presence irks me to the core. He's such a phony. He speaks like a middle school debate team captain. Just soooooooo by the book politician. -
^^and I could live with Rand Paul as well..he comes off as a ? though

that said, while i guess you have to admit you were afraid to answer this question for reasons that i cannot understand (the simple, adult thing to do would have been to say "no, i don't"), Bush has done you a solid and saved you from your own internet cowardice by dropping out of the race.

That's honestly a decent argument considering Cruz, Trump and Carson are in it lol. -
TRUMP-RELATED NOTE:
Recidivism Watch: Donald Trump’s repeated claim of his 2003 opposition to Iraq War, despite new evidenceHost Anderson Cooper: “There’s a report now out tonight on Buzzfeed that includes — I have not heard it — includes an audio clip of what appears to be you on Howard Stern talking on the radio on September 11th, 2002. He asked you are you for invading Iraq? You said ‘Yeah, I guess so. You know, I wish the first time it was done correctly.’ Is that accurate? Do you remember saying that?”
Donald Trump: “No. But, I mean, I could have said that. Nobody asked me — I wasn’t a politician. It was probably the first time anybody asked me that question.” […]
Cooper: “This was 2002.”
Trump: “By the time the war started, I was against the war. And there are articles — I mean, there are headlines in 2003, 2004 that I was totally against the war. And actually, a couple of people in your world in terms of the pundits, said, you know, there’s definite proof in 2003, 2004 Trump was against it.”
–exchange during CNN’s GOP town hall in Columbia, S.C., Feb. 18, 2016
The newly published audio recording is an interesting twist to Trump’s long-held assertion that he opposed the Iraq War ahead of the invasion in 2003. Still, Trump continues to repeat his false claim that his opposition made “headlines” in 2003.
During the town hall, Buzzfeed published a recording of Trump’s Sept. 11, 2002, radio interview with Howard Stern. Stern asks: “Are you for invading Iraq?” Trump answers: “Yeah, I guess so. You know, I wish the first time it was done correctly.”
When Cooper asked about the recording, Trump explained that he “may have” said he supported invading Iraq: “When you’re in the private sector, you know, you get asked things and, you know, you’re not a politician and probably the first time I was asked. By the time the war started, I was against it. And shortly thereafter, I was really against it.”
Is Trump suggesting he gave a different answer because he was in the private sector? That doesn’t jibe with Trump’s comments during the latest GOP debate that he opposed it, despite being in the private sector:
“I’m the only one on this stage that said, ‘Do not go into Iraq. Do not attack Iraq.’ Nobody else on this stage said that. And I said it loud and strong. And I was in the private sector. I wasn’t a politician, fortunately. But I said it, and I said it loud and clear, ‘You’ll destabilize the Middle East.’ That’s exactly what happened.”
The Fact Checker’s extensive review of news coverage prior to the invasion surfaced just two references of Trump and his views. There were no “headlines” in 2003, but a two-sentence reference in a March 25, 2003, article in The Washington Post’s coverage of the Oscars after-party.
Trump also made a comment on Fox News during the weekend after the invasion: “I think the market’s going to go up like a rocket!” However, on Feb. 19, Buzzfeed published an audio clip of Trump’s entire comments from what appears to be the same Fox News interview — and Trump actually praised the invasion:
“Well, I think Wall Street’s waiting to see what happens but even before the fact they’re obviously taking it a little bit for granted and it looks like a tremendous success from a military standpoint and I think this is really nothing compared to what you’re gonna see after the war is over. … I think Wall Street’s just gonna go up like a rocket, even beyond, and it’s gonna continue and, you know, we have a strong and powerful country and let’s hope it all works out.”
Trump clearly was outspoken about his opposition starting in 2004 and was cited in news coverage at the time. But that was said long after the war started — and Iraq was unraveling under the U.S. occupation. (Here’s a full timeline of Trump’s comments, courtesy of FactCheck.org.) -
Hallelujah to Jeb Bush being out....I can sleep better at night knowing another Bush won't be in the White House. Me and my fam partied hard celebrating this lol

I had no need to waste my time on another argument against Jeb Bush, his closeness to GWB was enough to bury him in the end. Good riddance! -

After Super Tuesday, Trump will probably be the last man standing, CNN says Trump is way ahead in 8 of the next 11 states. Hilary, from what I'm seeing in the polls, will probably lock up the Dem nomination by then too. March 1st will be a very interesting day. Hilary vs Trump will probably be the dirtiest campaign in modern history.

Are you trying to say a Republican will beat Hillary this year? If so, then Trump will be the next president, Rubio doesn't have a real shot anymore. I think a Trump presidency would bankrupt the nation further (his tax policies are terrible), so I understand why you feel the way you do lol
Most likely, I'll be voting 3rd party as well. I'm still listening to what Bernie is saying -
@zzombie
you see Trump won evangelicals in South Carolina...it's a wrap. He's getting the nomination
HE very well could get the nomination now it's not looking good for america no matter who wins this election
I can live with Hilary tho but not sanders or trump especially sanders we should be going into a recession any day now and if that crazy socialist Jew becomes president the american economic be destroyed. -

Rubio has a shot? In what universe lol, he hasn't won a state yet and Trump is clobbering him in his own state according to 2 different polls.
I do agree a Republican has a great chance of being president this year, especially if Hillary gets the nomination. -
This could be ? but...........

Donald Trump will be president, SUNY professor predicts with 97 percent certainty
Helmut Norpoth, a political science professor at Stony Brook University, says that his statistical model predicted Donald Trump will win the election if he's the Republican nominee. The billionaire businessman has a 97 percent chance of beating Hillary Clinton in the general election and a 99 percent chance of beating Bernie Sanders, according to Norpoth.
The Statesman reports Norpoth uses statistics from candidates' performances in their party's primary and patterns in the electoral cycle to forecast national election results. The equation correctly predicted Bill Clinton's victory in 1996, George W. Bush in 2004, and Barack Obama in 2012.
In fact, Norpoth's model has correctly predicted the outcome of every presidential election since 1912 except one, according to the Daily Mail. -

You say we should be going into a recession soon. Please tell us how you know this with such certainty -

Because the economy goes into recession every couple of years and it's about time for the next one and when you look into certain global events the writing is on the wall. -

Trump is also ahead in every state coming up in Super Tuesday (tmw) minus Texas, according to all the major polls. Super Tuesday will be the wake for Marco Rubio, March 15th the funeral.
Super Tuesday has about 800 delegates from 12 states I believe, and every news channel I've watched says Trump will take the vast majority of them. I give Rubio credit for campaigning harder now, he's funnier then I've ever seen him, but it's too little, too late. Only exception is if Trump gets a heart attack or something. -
Democratic turnout has been very low this year compared to Republicans.....anyone have any theories on why that is?

Low turnout equals President Trump -

I doubt Marco will make up for lost ground. Trump slipped answering the KKK and David Duke question, but since he disavowed their support, I expect him to cruise to victory in most, if not all the states tmw. For all we know, him slipping on the question might have helped him with some whites.
And while Americans don't like to vote, many conservatives these past four years definitely do, Republicans have the House and the Senate. If Hillary doesn't attack Trump properly, they're gonna have the White House too. -
