My list...
Point Guard
1. Magic
2. Oscar Robertson - Even tho it was a was in a watered down league, the man average a 30 point triple double in his first 5 season
3. John Stockton
4. Isiah Thomas
5. Jason Kidd - Could go either way with him/CP3/Glove
Curry's barely entering his prime, so I'm leaving him off this list for now.
Shooting Guard
1. Michael Jordan
2. Kobe Bryant
3. Jerry West
4. Dwyane Wade
5. Ice Man George Gervin
Small Forward
1. Larry Bird - You could argue LeBron's already passed him, but I still give it Bird. 3 consecutive MVPs and the East was a Beast in the 80's.
2. Lebron James - If he isn't already, he'll be the greatest SF ever and top 5 period. But Bird never disappeared in Finals like Lebron did against the Mavs, so I give the fraction of an edge to Bird.
3. Julius Irving
4. Elgin Baylor - Like The Big O, his numbers were inflated by the era he played in, but he was still dominant for his time. Over 27/13 for his career. Helped the Lakers get to 8 Finals. He retired 9 games into a season the Lakers finally got over the ? and won their ring. Ultimate ether.
5. Scottie Pippen - One of the greatest two-way players ever. In the 90s, he was averaging better than 19/6/7/2.5/1 as the 2nd option on a dynasty. Jordan didn't do it by himself.
Power Forward
1. Tim Duncan - One of the most skilled big men ever. Best player in the post MJ era IMO.
2. Karl Malone
3. Dirk Nowitzki
4. Charles Barkley
5. Kevin Garnett/Kevin McHale
Center
1. Hakeem - Kareem had the better career, but in his prime there was no one better IMO. His skill set and defense was second to no Center ever. He played in the greatest Center era ever and out played all of em, including embarassing MVP David Robinson, en route to back to back titles. The 1st one being with nothing but role players. Him and Shaw are the only ones on this list I saw play, so my opinion's a little one sided
2. Kareem - 6 MVPs, 6 rings, 2 Finals MVP, all time leading scorer, skyhook. Probably should be #1, but I couldn't do it
3. Wilt Chamberlain - I don't believe he would've been able to average 50 a game in the modern era, but was legendary regardless. He was 11 ppg ahead of the 2nd leading scorer and 19 ppg ahead of the 3rd leading scorer that season. 4 MVPs, 2 rings/Finals MVPs
4. Shaq - In his prime, unguardable. All you could do was foul him and hope he'd miss his FTs. 4 rings, 3 of those with Lakers where he destroyed his competition in the Finals. He's probably was an underachiever always coming to training camp out of shape, but he was still a monster averaging 27/12 his first 12 seasons in the league. The most dominant force in the paint since Wilt.
5. Bill Russell - The best player on the best team. He wasn't a huge scorer in an era where countless others were averaging 30 a game. He averaged half as many points as Wilt did, but only 6 fewer ppg in the playoffs. A 5 time league MVP, the man only played 13 seasons and won 11 rings. He also won 2 rings in college too. All he did was win

I went back n forth with him and Charles, but Chuck was killing the boards in his prime so I have him the edge. Even tho Dirk had a helluva championship run. Same thing with KG and McHale. McHale was the better scorer, but KG had a better all around game. Both are toss ups IMO. -

According to Wikipedia,- Thompson is one of the five players to score 70 or more points in an NBA game.
- ....lead North Carolina State University to an undefeated season (27-0) in 1973, he then led the Wolfpack to a 30-1 season and the NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Championship in 1974, defeating the reigning national champions, the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) Bruins. His nickname was "Skywalker" because of his incredible vertical leap. The alley-oop pass, now a staple of today's high-flying, above-the-rim game, was "invented" by Thompson and his NC State teammate Monte Towe, and first used as an integral part of the offense by NC State coach Norm Sloan to take advantage of Thompson's leaping ability.
- Thompson was the No. 1 draft pick of both the American Basketball Association (Virginia Squires) and the National Basketball Association (Atlanta Hawks) in the 1975 drafts of both leagues.
- Thompson and Julius Erving were the finalists in the first ever Slam-Dunk Competition, held at the 1976 ABA All-Star Game at McNichols Sports Arena in Denver.

Unfortunately David Thompson got involved with drugs (? ) and his career was cut short. He put in most of his work in the ABA and by the time the ABA merged with the NBA his career was already in a downward spiral. But He was a GOAT player in the mid 70s when he played for the ABA. - Thompson is one of the five players to score 70 or more points in an NBA game.

Yeah you right. And me never had the talent around him that Kobe, Shaq or Timmy had either. The closest thing was Nash and Cuban ain't believe in him and we saw how that worked out. -

Crackers was so trash that 2 players could pull down
30 rebounds by them self regularly. So many missed shots and so many attempts. No skills. -
