Licence to ? is top 10 but Dalton himself wasn't that special especially on the first movie he did as bond. Can't remember the name but it was trash. Say what you will about Moore but he did 7 bond films only one that was bad was A View To ? . He was the light to Daniel Craig' dark. I grew up on his bond movies. I'm not mad at whatever they choose, Tom Hiddleton from his interviews, seems like a cool down to Earth guy.
Tom Hiddleston is a great actor, and yeah, in interviews he seems like a cool bloke. He was in a recent series called The Night Manager which was popular in the UK which started the calls for him being the new Bond. I wouldn't mind him being chosen.
Of course I'd be rooting for Idris Elba though but he's already about the same age as Daniel Craig and all the racist white people would be having aneurysms over him being chosen.
Night Manager was trash. Just finished it. Not buying Hiddleston as 007 at all.

He was a much rougher Bond, and I enjoyed that about his rendition of the character.
I didn't like him as Bond but didn't hate him. I just felt his movies where less spy like and more action like. Not to mention he wasn't smooth with the ladies like Connery and even Roger Moore. He was just brooding in a sense when it came to the ladies not really suave or debonaire like the aforementioned. -

This is funny since Bond fans consider it one of the best and Dalton's finest. Dalton's greatest contribution was having the characterization closest to Fleming's Bond decades before Daniel Craig made that hip to you kids. -

Daniel Craig is game for returning as James Bond in the film series' next instalment, according to new reports.
Speculation has been rife over the casting of the British spy ever since the release of latest 007 film Spectre in 2015, largely due to the actor being critical about the option of returning for more. Fresh sources believe Craig has “changed his mind” and that franchise producer Barbara Broccoli has “secured” the actor.
Craig may not be the only one to return - according to The Mirror, Broccoli is reportedly “determined” to bring back Adele to record the film's theme tune. The singer previously sang the lead track for Skyfall, the most profitable Bond film to date. It was the first 007 theme to win a Grammy and Golden Globe award.
They continued: “Craig and Adele together are the winning team, the ultimate choice, the money spinners. It’s taken time but Daniel has come round and the strong consensus in the Bond offices is that Mr Craig is 007 again.
“As for Adele, she’s more of an unknown quantity but loved being part of Bond, so the signs are positive.”
Earlier this year, it was reported that Tom Hiddleston - a contender for Craig's replacement - was deemed “too smug and not tough enough” by franchise producer Barbara Broccoli, daughter of producing stalwart, Albert.
It was previously reported that Craig was offered up to £120 million to return as the spy for two more films despite attention surrounding fellow candidates Idris Elba, James Norton and Poldark star Aidan Turner.
Movements are being made with the next 007 instalment following Spectre's release in 2015. Longtime Bond screenwriters Neal Purvis and Robert Wade are returning while the hunt for a new director continues following the departure of Sam Mendes.
Dunkirk filmmaker Christopher Nolan was recently linked to the role after his production company, Syncopy, was added to Bond 25's IMDb page.

I wouldn't be mad at a sequel to Man From U.N.C.L.E.
It was the only time Cavill and that guy who was once going to play Batman lived up to their big screen potential.
Inception was basically Nolan's Bond movie audition. He was directly inspired by the Roger Moore movies when it came to the action. So I'm not surprised his name is being thrown around. -

Guy Ritchie was fishing for the gig but he's not considered bankable for Bond which is why Aladdin and a possible sequel at a lower budget for Man From U.N.C.L.E. are all that's on his current slate, the other 5 parts of King Arthur are definitely off the table and it seems as if the studio would like a final Sherlock film from him, Law and RDJ but Ritchie doesn't seem to want to go back to it because "everyone's doing it now". I hope he continues to be successful just so my mate Si can still get primo gigs doing the sound mixing on his flicks.
