Solange Has the No. 1 Album in America
Solange’s latest album A Seat at the Table has claimed the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 chart, Billboard reports. The album sold 72,000 equivalent album units with 46,000 of those in traditional album sales. A Seat at the Table is Solange’s first album to reach No. 1. Previously, her highest charting album was 2008’s Sol-Angel and the Hadley St. Dreams, which peaked at No. 9. Bon Iver’s new album 22, A Million, which was predicted for a No. 1 debut, charted at No. 2 with 71,000 units.

Michael and Janet Jackson (2001) and Beyonce and Solange are the only siblings to have #1 albums in the same year.
Master P and Silk the Shocker did it also, but not in the same year. -

A seat at the table is pure unapologetic black girl magic. My ears have had countless orgasms listening to this album.
Everything from the interludes to the very last song is pure magic. Couldn't even skip one song.

It's something so pure about this album. I haven't heard a feeling good album since In Rainbows by Radiohead.
This album is so bliss and innocent, yet inspirational and bold. And so new Orleans! -

Definitely not easily, it's debatable, check out Esperanza's D+Evolution when you get the chance. Pure eargasm for people that really know their music. -
