Life is an upcoming 2017 American-British science fiction thriller film directed by Daniel Espinosa and written by Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese. The film stars Jake Gyllenhaal, Rebecca Ferguson, Olga Dihovichnaya, Ariyon Bakare, Hiroyuki Sanada and Ryan Reynolds. The film is scheduled to be released on March 24, 2017 by Columbia Pictures.

The six-member crew of the International Space Station is on the cutting edge of one of the most important discoveries in human history: the first evidence of extraterrestrial life on Mars. As the crew begins to conduct research, and their methods end up having unintended consequences, the life form proves more intelligent than anyone ever expected.

    It's hardly a twist when a film presents you with a scenario that has a 50/50 outcome....it was obvious from a ? miiiillle away.

    I got absolutely nothing from this movie aside from
    the ryan reynolds death scene being as trill as it was
    , the rest of it was taking the ? and then some out of murphy's law.

    Movie annoyed the hell out of me.

    when you find out the wrong escape pod went to deep space
    Maybe u saw it coming... It was still a twist

    But it really wasn't though lol
    as soon as they got into the pods the situation really warranted only a few outcomes, in terms of the way the film had already progressed it actually had only 2, either he lands back on earth and she ends up deep space ( because her character living didn"t make any sense as closure) or vice versa.

    I sussed out the film would end the way it did when reynolds went early, that made everyone expendable and killed the suspense.

    movie didn't need a twist at the end. was good either way. good acting, smart ass developing alien, good death scenes and a decent amount of suspense.

    "Calvin" was trill af...
    Shouldn't have provoked it with the shocker, it was on after that. Lab Rat, Reynolds and the Cpt drowning in her space suit were all horrific deaths. Ending twist was aight, that CDC lady will have a better fate than most people on earth.

    Fun movie, would have liked more character development. 7/10 "Calvin" kept it tense lol...

    It takes a certain amount of courage to end your film on such a note. It also takes a certain amount of perversity, and, because those two qualities are inseparable from the experience of watching horror movies in the first place, they don’t feel incompatible with the ending of this one. But that doesn’t make the outcome of Life any less jarring, or less of a downer. It also doesn’t banish one of the audience’s major questions going in: Is this a Venom prequel?

    Such a rumor got started of course it came from Reddit. It was based on the shared presence of the same stock footage in the trailers for Life and Spider Man 3, as well as recent progress toward making a stand-alone Venom movie by Sony, the studio that made Life. Amusingly, the writers and director of Life have played ball, refusing to dismiss the rumors, though, after seeing the film, it’s almost impossible to imagine that the filmmakers or Sony intended any connection.he yard strings. Even Redditors admit it sounds far-fetched, but none of them deny how much “fun” it would be.

    Calvin "the black goo" aka symbiote can occupy a human's body becoming venom. Possibilities. The reason i believe theyre tight lipped about this is because Life wasnt a hit
