USMC Investigating Video Of US Marines Drinking, Screaming N-Word
The United States Marine Corps is investigating a video appearing to show U.S. Marines drinking from a beer ? and repeatedly screaming "F*** N*****S" into a cell phone.
The video spreading across social media appears to show several U.S. Marines screaming the racial epithet and smiling into the cell phone camera. The under 16-second video was first posted to Snapchat on Friday before being shared by New Jersey activist and teacher Zellie Imani, who tweeted the video at the official USMC account. Imani asked if the actions seen in the video were "commonplace" within the U.S. Marine Corps.
The official U.S. Marines account responded Saturday via Twitter, saying they are investigating the matter and that it doesn't represent the values of the Marine Corps. The video has received thousands of retweets and replies as well as appearing on websites including The Root and Worldstarhiphop.
"The actions depicted in the videos are not in keeping with the high standard of conduct to which we hold all our Marines. We will thoroughly investigate the matter and take appropriate action based on the results of the investigation," responded the USMC Twitter account.
Several commenters responded that the statement from the Marines was too "generic" and called for the Marines to immediately be kicked out of the military. Others said they were confident that those responsible "would be dealt with" by the Marine Corps.

Because every Hispanic was in that video right? That would be like saying other blacks aren't our allies because Jason Whitlock and Sheriff Clarke get on TV and sell us out. This is nothing. If you were ever in the military you came across some very racist airmen, soldiers, shipmates or fellow marines. It is just like your job. The only difference is you are forced to sit in a hole with that mfer to do a job or stand watch. There isnt any HR to run to. You did your job and may have even struck up a convo with that person. I know I have. I actually learned something talking to them. But it was always in a stressful or work environment. The military makes you do things that you normally would never do and that is one of them.
Also Racist or even discriminatory views usually dont make sense. Like the statement Texas made in this thread. That analogy makes no sense. Just like that them listening to rap music while yelling out ? ? dont make sense. Just like the KKK praising white Jesus doesnt make sense. Just like Black people going around looking for a race war doesn't make sense. It is not suppose to make sense. When racist or even discriminatory views start to makes sense to you, You finally went full ? .
