You do know that every team in the NFL is not solely owned by 1 person.
They have majority owners who have the most say so but all teams have an OWNERSHIP GROUP. -

If I'm not mistaken, new owners not only pay for the team, but they pay a fee to the nfl in order to become an owner. Then they have to be voted in.
