Great drop, I've been listening to Charles Hamilton recently, this track is funny considering it's about a porn star:

I don't know what you really going through, but when I cheated on you, to see Milian Blu,
You black, and put out another lesbian scene, which was sexy to me, and it messed with my dreams

    hahaha

Thanks for the topic post Rusty, that's the biggest contribution that you've ever made to the essence in recent memories, shame it wasn't spent more productively, seeing as how you're a more knowledgeable poster from the looks of your post.

The reason why your posts are/have been deleted is because you come by every once in a while and drop a track that's admittedly seen as self-promotion (rightly or wrongly), being that you're posting with your name on the track/youtube/whatever, apologies for inaccuracies of this statement, I'm sure that you'll pick out the faults and put them right, thank you in advance.

That said, if I'm wrong, i.e. you've made a remix to the song because you like the tracks and you're a fan, then fair enough, I won't delete your posts in future. A simple p.m would have sufficed to explain the situation rather than waste your time typing all of that. I'm a reasonable mod and only looking out for the board and trying to make it back to what it was. So, if you contribute more then props but otherwise p.m me with your problems as I'll fix my mistakes and/or a post deletion that was unfair by mistake.

I'm sure as a Donkey poster, you will understand the problems with spamming, phishing whatever... and the deletion of your post is one of many that I delete every day. Like anyone, I'm not perfect, but I contribute as much as I can and do a decent job according to the few strong posters that we have here.

acaliman's posts get deleted where and when I perceive them as spam. But admittedly, it's a careful balance between deleting of spam and growth of posters. Posters with a low post count are difficult to judge at times, as they may just be getting off on the wrong foot. The fact that he posts tinyurl's was the eventual reason of a deletion of one of his posts. But it's difficult knowing the contents of the links that are posted as I obviously don't click them myself. Your zshare argument makes sense technically, but it's still with a click of a link. I don't know if acaliman's posts are spam because I don't click his links. That's why I advised posters who look here not to click links. I guess, there has to be an element of trust in the posters 'youtube's' that you click, but I do know or perceive them to be safer. And trust the creators of the Essence Essentials as I perceive them as trustworthy - i.e. Dilla, Ninja Senses and Beats & Rhymes. Traestar is also a trustworthy poster as well as the other regulars that we have here.

I'll leave your post even though it's off topic, but p.m me with any future issues and I'll do what I can for you. No hard feelings.

On a side note, your artwork is dope. I do manga sketches from time to time, so appreciate your work, especially the shading on the jeans.

I only post music to spread the vibes.. nothing more.. no hard feelings.. i was just at odds with what i precieved as an imbalance. my dude ryan & i were offered a recording contract & we turned it down because self promotion wasn't our focus.. we're just not those kinda people i guess.

As far as the phishing links, i believe hovering your mouse over a questionable link will reveal it's sinister nature if it has one. if the link matches the link in your status bar, you're good... but if it says some ? like www.photohost.. it's definitely dangerous.

Thanx for the response & the compliment.. I appreciate your honesty.

Alright, cool. Yeah, I'll be honest, it's hard to maintain a balance when you're looking at some posts, because so much of what we do is sharing, so we're instructed to go off our own accord/judgement. Spam that's easy to identify gets deleted no problem, but every so often you do get a message that pops up asking why it's been deleted in my inbox, but usually it's with just cause.

Props on the tips, I usually go with posting the link into google and going from there... I know people on the IC can be real shifty with their approach to phishing and there's constantly new ways being used to hack (in general across the web), so I just keep a careful eye on it.

Seriously though, if you enjoy independent hip hop, keep contributing :tu It's a good place to share and generally there's new music to find, especially with the Essence Essentials series, don't know if you've checked it.

Definitely his best album, regardless of comments about his new release, it's just one step above - lyrically, what's on his new one. Especially with the guest appearances and the messages on there...

That said, I think his production has improved greatly, the intro to "All of the Lights" is genius, IMO.

i agree i like his new one too man its just that the first one to me displays his talent...i love the skits and its one of those albums you play every last song and NOT skip a track

true, true. The problem I have with his new persona is that it's the Kanye following the stresses of stardom; he's well grounded on the first album, coming with a message to uplift the people, now it's more personal for him and he's reaching in to all his own demons, which is dope too (and possibly has more layers to it), but it's not up there with the rhymes.

That's said the production on the new album is unreal. You listen to independent music?

    You a man or woman?

It's never going to happen now, largely because he's in another place in his life now. But I like his direction much more than 808's.

I'm guessing you're meaning you're a lady, rather than a mix of the two. Thought so with liking Nicki Minaj, having beautiful in your name and your talking of tweeting lol

Blame game is the best song on the album, behind All of the Lights for me...

    What independent artists you into?
