For the last couple days, there has been a rumor (almost official) from some good sources that Mickie James has signed to TNA.
According to a report on Diva-Dirt.com, former WWE Women’s Champion Mickie James is expected to sign a contract with TNA Wrestling today (9/22) — if she hasn’t already.

Those close to the situation have indicated that James would finalize her contract today, but additional details are not available at press time.

Despite her release from World Wrestling Entertainment earlier this year and simultaneous foray into the country music world, James continued her wrestling career as she has appeared on numerous independent shows since that time.

Later on 9/22
It was reported earlier today that former WWE Diva Mickie James had come to terms with TNA Wrestling and would be signing a contract very soon, if she hasn’t already.

We can now confirm after checking with other sources that James and TNA working together is a done deal.

TNA President Dixie Carter personally signed James, who is expected to debut on television on the October 7th live edition of iMPACT! heading into Bound For Glory.

Mickie James was released by WWE on April 22. Since then, Dixer Carter has caused some buzz when she announced that she met Mickie James at her country music CD release party in Nashville.

She’ll help TNA’s bottom line rating because Knockout’s wrestling seem to be the only draw in the company. Now that TNA has Mickie, she’ll help the segments she’s on by just a little.

She’s by no means a ratings buster, meaning, she won't put TNA over the top, but she’ll help them more than most of the men wrestler’s they’ve signed ratings wise.

Now TNA needs to apologize to Awesome Kong for the ? that went down with her and bring her back. So we can have a Kong/Mickie feud, throw Tara in there, and have Angelina Love looking on the outside, and the KOs division is much more juicier than the men's division - NO ? .

she was signed to TNA before she was signed to wwe, under Alexis Laree. wonder if she'll keep the same mickie james or Alexis Laree. makes more sense economically to keep mickie james but storywise better to proclaim the return of Alexis Laree

still not enough to make me watch TNA on the regular tho
